Hello NFT World

Pleased to meet you. We are the NanoDisrupters. We’re a family of hand drawn and digitally crafted NFT characters with big ideas and attitude to match. We like what we like and we love what we love.

We’re each figments of the imagination of the eccentric and crusty artist, known as NanoReach.

We’re unique, we’re entertaining, we’re collectible and we’re in scarce supply. Each of us has 6 hand-lettered traits and only a single NFT is available for each trait.

No two characters are the same and each art piece for the various traits is unique. No algorithms are ever used in creating the NanoDisrupters!

Own a NanoDisrupter and own a piece of NFT history.

They are us. We are them.

The 6 Character Traits

Every Nanodisrupter has a unique ‘given name’ and can have a maximum of six traits. (Believer, Detester, Dreamer, Liker, Lover, Thinker). The art pieces affiliated with an individual trait are always unique – with no two being the same.
Believers

Believers have given a significant amount of thought to their position and they stand by it, steadfastly. Witness Randy. Randy is determined that any issue can be resolved with pudding. That's an incredibly firm belief.

Dreamers

Dreamers are preoccupied and obsessed with their ideas. Day after day, hour after hour, dreamers dwell and focus on certain notions. Norm, for example, is infatuated with mathematical models and abstractions of worldly objects – things most of us just take for granted.

Detesters

Detesters know what they don't like. There is virtually no new information that will change their minds. Take Jill, she's a beach lover - but if a guy struts around in a banana hammock, her day in the sun is absolutely ruined.

Thinkers

Thinkers have spent time considering, weighing and re-affirming certain concepts. Randy thinks women like his appearance and find him incredibly attractive. Reality aside, Randy thinks it's a valid paradigm to live by.

Likers

Likers like what they like. Most of us are likers in one manner or another. Some of us like ice cream, others like warm butter or bright colors. Peter is a liker of cryptocurrency, especially Bitcoin.

Lovers

Oh, the Lovers – those crazy infatuated individuals who can't stop thinking, fondling and admiring particular objects. Rudy is a lover. His love has an atomic number of 47 and a melting point of 961.8°C – plus, it makes him very happy.

About the Artist

Reach in the 70's

“Reach”, circa 1975 during a rare nipple slip event

The “one sandwich short of a picnic” mind behind the NanoDisrupt characters belongs to NanoReach, better known simply as, “Reach”.

Reach is old – kinda, really old, actually. Born in the fifties. Yikes. You do the math. It’s amazing he’s still exhaling CO2.

Reach is a world traveller and vagabond, an engineer (yup – the type with a slide-rule and calculator), a writer and a digital artist. Reach likes bright colours and detests stupidity.

When Reach isn’t creating interesting NFTs, he likes to walk his Golden Retriever with Mrs. Reach, whom he adores.

With any luck, Reach will make a few more trips around the Sun before his new NFT art creations simply end.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many NanoDisrupt characters and NFTs are there?

Good question. There are less than 10 individual characters, currently. It takes “Reach” about one week to conceptualize and create a single character with 6 traits. That means it will take a year to produce about 45 more characters (hey, Reach needs a few weeks off).

Assuming Reach lives another 3 years (doubtful as he drinks and lives hard), we’re talking a total of around 135 characters in the collection. Factor in 6 traits per character and the NanoDisrupters will likely top out around 810 individual NFTs.

Now, should Reach live longer – bonus (for him, the collection and humanity).

What the Heck is a MicroMark?

A MicroMark is a small unobtrusive digital sketch that is added to select NFTs. The MicroMark depicts an element that matches the theme of the NFT. No two are the same and less that 5% of NanoDisrupter NFTs contain a MicroMark, making them the rarest of the rare. (So, rare-rare.)

What is Unlockable Content?

Some of the NanoDisrupter NFTs contain unlockable content (kinda like prizes in the Cracker Jack box – it’s something Reach grew up with). The first purchaser of an NFT containing unlockable content will receive the locked away prize. These may include certificates of authenticity, rough early edition sketches of the character or some other wonderful bonus.

Is there a Discord Server for the NanoDisrupters?

Oh yeah! We’re working on that right now. This will be the place to meet with other NanoDisrupt NFT character owners and bullshit about the community.

More on this soon.

What are the Specs for the Art Piece Associated with Each NFT?

Each original art piece is presented in PNG format and is dimensionally 6000 pixels horizontally by 4500 pixels vertically.

Here’s a view of the NFT, “Jill Likes Kittens and Popsicles” in full size (12+ MB) – It opens in a new tab. Your browser will resize it down to fit your viewport. Use the magnifier to zoom to 100%. Click to view the lovely green-eyed Jill in full size.

What's with the Chili Pepper?

Some ask .. why does NanoReach have a chili pepper in his Twitter handle?

We asked the artist. He would only say that it’s a lengthy story around an event that took place on a flight between Java and Sumatra many years ago. An entirely inadequate answer, but it’s all we’ve gotten thus far.
